Valentines Day

 Happy Valentines Everyone!

This card is for DH today.  Had to wait until now to post it, just in case he tried to take a peak!  There's no stamping on this card.  I used black and white CS, Basic Grey Scarlett Letter DP, Basic Grey Rubons, and a very "old" Sizzix die (a small green one, remember those??!) called  Double Heart.  The pearly lacy trim is some that I picked up many years ago at an antique store.  Not that it's antique really, but I had never seen anything like it before at that time.

The card came together pretty quickly.  Hope he likes it!

Uncommon Cat

Hello Hello!

I'm hosting the Inspiration Challenge on Splitcoast this weekend and here's a sneak peak for you if you want to play along!!  The website is "Uncommon Goods".  A very fun website to browse through just for laughs if nothing else!!  I found these "Post Cardens",  Baby Tee Pees and Elephant Poo Paper Roses that made me smile (gotta give 'em credit for the "uncommon" in their title LOL!) but I didn't use them as my inspiration!

I chose this "Pet Card Case" for my inspiration piece.  It reminded me of my very favorite Basic Grey "Max and Whiskers" collection that I've devoured and happily use whenever I can.

I created a label using Cuttlebug Embossing Folder Fanciful Labels and daubbed the raised portion with Adirondack Acrylic Paint dabber in Snow Cap white while it was still in the folder.  I stamped the sentiment with Blue Bayou ink then went over it with a clear Sakura Glaze Pen to enhance the color and raise the letters a bit.

After layering all my panels, I added a large Daisy Doodles prima flower and coordinating Basic Grey Chipboard pieces.

As an afterthought to finish it off, I gave the cat a little collar charm from my stash -- I think it's from Hobby Lobby.  I always have so much fun using this collection!

Hope you get a chance to play along!

Thanks for stopping by today!!!

A Happy Set :)

 Hello All,

This set started out as just one card, but it was so quick and easy to put together, I made it a set.  The card base is a pack of stationary that I got at a stationary store that was going out of business.  The dark brown CS is pre-scalloped and measures 6-1/2 x 4".  For this set, I folded it in half to make smaller 4x3-1/4" size cards.

I used Basic Gray Green at Heart paper pad for the main panel and coordinating Basic Grey Woolies Flowers. I stamped each panel with Rubber Stampede's "Girl Play" silhouette image.

Additional embellishments are SU! Rubons, MS border punches, Webster's Pages trims, Recollections Trims, and Basic Grey paper doilies.

This is being posted over on SCS for today's Technique Lovers Challenge hosted by the lovely, talented and sweetheart friend Joan (aka Stamping with a Passion).

Cards for All Occassions!

Hi All,

Had one of those itches today that just had to be scratched, and poof!  Out came 4 new cards.  Actually one I started yesterday for a challenge, then I needed to make a belated birthday card, and so while I was at it, I made a couple more for some other challenges.  Why not.. ya?   So here's what I got:

For the inaugural Do You Stack Up Challenge - Buttons
and Stamp Fairy - Layers and Buttons

Cosmo Cricut papers, die cuts.  SU Crumb Cake CS, "Favorite Peeps by A Muse stamps

For the Crafty Cardmakers - Use red and a die cut (almost the same as above card):
Cosmo Cricut papers, die cuts.  SU Crumb Cake CS, "Favorite Peeps by A Muse stamps

My belated Birthday card (are you seeing the sketch pattern here!) for the Paper Sundaes - Circles challenge:
Basic Grey "Max and Whiskers" papers and die cuts, SU Crumb Cake CS, sentiment by Stamp La Jolla

And finally, the card I started this weekend and finished tonight for the Flourishes Colors of Love Challenge.  I had to wait for the Crystal Effects to dry before photographing so that's why it took two days.
Variety of pinks, red, white CS, "Large Spring Tea Kettles" by Whipper Snapper, mini red tin roses by Making Memories, Crystal Effects, mini half-back pearls by Recollections
Thanks for checking out my blog today!!  I really truly am so glad you stopped by!

Tina's Birthday Card

Hi Everyone,

I made this for my sister Tina's Birthday - which is today!  You may have seen an earlier post about my recent visit home to NM where we got to go to the annual Balloon Fiesta in Albuquerque!  It was fantastic and yes, inspiring!

The stamps I used are from Frantic Stamper's own line of rubber stamps that were sent to me by Fran herself - totally by coincidence two weeks before I left for that vacation!  She had no idea that I was planning a trip to NM where I'd see these amazing balloons in person!  These balloon stamps are "Plate #116".

The balloons are paper pieced using Basic Grey's "Max and Whiskers" DP collection.  Once I had stamped and paper-pieced the balloons and sentiment as shown in the photo, I turned my balloon scene over and drew a rectangle in the center of the panel, then followed the lines to cut it out with my exacto knife.  I layered that inside piece onto black CS with a 1/8th mat, then reattached it to the base with dimensional foam.

Happy Birthday little sister!!

Fun Critters!

Hi Friends,

These two cards were inspired by this week's Featured Stamper over on SCS.  Congratulations to Laurie (aka Immanut); her gallery is definitely inspiring!

Both cards use DP and the coordinating Chipboard stickers from the Basic Grey "Green at Heart" collection -- these are available at Frantic Stamper.  The sentiments and Rich Razzleberry ribbons I used are SU!

The gopher card (I think it's a gopher??) is cased after Laurie's "Crushed Curry Country Morning" card.  I liked kept her monochromatic theme and layout but used the chipboard pieces instead of a stamped image.

The owl card is cased after Laurie's "Punch Art Lion" card (which is super cute by the way!).  I kept her design layout, but again, used chipboard pieces as the main focal image instead of the punch art.

DeNami Blog Hop! "For You!"

Hi There,

Thanks for hopping by for the DeNami Blog Hop!  If you came from Wendy Elliots blog, you're on the right trail!  If you want to start at the beginning or if you get lost along the way, click on the Blog Hop Badge up there on the upper right, or here to take you back to home base!

I have two cards for you!

This first card uses three of the adorable DeNami critters:  Penguin with Balloon, Turtle with Presents, and Chickie with Flower.  I colored them with Copics to coordinate with the Kioshi Basic Grey DP and textured Bazzil CS.  I used Basic Grey Thickers Alpha chipboard and a Maya Road chipboard frame covered with more Kioshi DP.

Then I have this really super quick card using Penguin with Balloon again and this time there's a button at the end of his string.

Could not be more fun and easy to design with these guys!

Thanks so much for dropping by -- now hop along!  Your next stop is:  Virginia Larsen at Ginny Lou

Blessed!

Hi Everyone!

I'm hosting the Inspiration Challenge this weekend and this is my card I made for the challenge.  The website I chose is "Elizabeth's Embellishment's".  Major inspiration over there people!!  Do check it out and then join me over at SCS!!  Post your card in the gallery and let me know you saw it here first!!  :)

My card was super easy to make once I chose my inspiration piece.  I found this fun "Just Let Go" embellished wallet.

I used S.E.I. suede paper in chocolate from the Autumn Assortment for the base layer.  (LOVE this stuff, it's a wonderful presentation IRL!!).

I then added chipboard from Basic Grey Kioshi, and Flower Wooleys from BG's Oliva and Sugar Rush collections to form a flourish on the card.

Lastly I stamped the Studio G sentiment "Blessed" in white pigment ink directly onto the suede layer.  Done!

All my supplies can be found at Fran's store "The Frantic Stamper".  One of the sweetest lady's on the planet!!  She does a great job of stocking the latest and greatest of everything crafty!!

I hope you'll check out the IC this weekend!  If not, have a wonderful, safe, Labor door weekend friends!

Love You Card and Dots

Hi All,

I was at the office supply store yesterday and they had boxes of 3-1/2" x 6-1/4" envelopes on sale so I grabbed a box; they just looked like a cute size for cards that I didn't have!  So this is my first one that I made in this size.

I used BG "Green at Heart" 6x6 paper pad and coordinating dimensional stickers.  I stamped the sentiment from Studio G (Series 46) three times - once on So Saffron CS, once on a green print and once on a purple print from the Green at Heart DP.  Used these to paper piece a few of the letters.

Finished it up with peel-offs in the corners and up top!

This card is for todays Inspiration Challenge over on SCS.  Stephanie found another really great webstore for inspiration called "Blue Carrot Shop" just amazes me what's out there and yet to be tapped!!  I chose this retro orange dotted bowl for my inspiration piece.

The dots are 3/4" circles randomly arranged across the bottom.  I cut the layout out with the Top Note die from SU and embellished the dots with buttons and rhinestone flowers.  The little bird is from Hero Arts and the sentiment is from SU Trendy Trees.

Three Day Weekend!

Hi All,

This is for the Etsy Inspired Challenge and Marks Finest Papers Challenge this week.

The Etsy challenge spotlights the fun Kimmieprout Etsy store.  I chose this set of hand-made buttons as my inspiration, such cute stuff, eh?  The Marks Finest Papers Challenge is to use a die cut on your card.  I used Nestibilities Blossom and Circle dies.

The chipboard birdy and DP is Basic Grey Max and Whiskers collection. The branch is SU's bird punch.  CS used is Tempting Turquoise, Chocolate Chip and Crumb Cake.

This 2nd card is also posted over on SCS.  It's for today's Featured Stamper, Charlene!!  I cased her "Let's Use the Rich Color of Teal" card, changing out the materials for stuff I have on hand.  Supplies used are SU Pretty Peone, SU Sweet and Sassy Rub Ons, Momenta Textured paper, White, Black and Tempting Turquoise CS.

Happy 4th of July, everyone!!  God Bless America!!

Olivias Flowers

Just up too late tonight...might as well stamp!!

This first card is SU's new Because I Care.  I colored it with markers, stamped it on glossy and matted it with Marina Mist, Early Espresso, Black and Websters Lullaby Lane DP.  Added a ribbon, button and charm.

This is made with Coordinating Woolies for the Basic Grey Oliva line.  Just made the panels, layered them in black and attached the flowers and a ribbon.  Easy peasy!!
