This weekend I popped into the Heirloom Rubberstamp Show in Grapevine Texas (with Hubby no less!!) and was smitten with "
Loralie Designs" stamps. These were new to me, so of course I had to obsess over them!!
All the images are designed by the really sweet and talented artist, Loralie Harris, who is a nearby Texan! Her stamp line includes lots of fun, versatile, and creative images of women (and a few guys too!). The images can be colored, layered, paper pieced, embellished, dressed up like paper dolls, etc. etc.!! Each set comes with optional layering pieces to use and accessorize your image! Paper dolls unplugged!
Several of the
Dare to Get Dirty 2010 challenges over on SCS (
see my post here) are incorporated into this card!! The DGD challenges are a blast!! I love this time of the year on SCS!!
I used Loralie's "
Jane Adams" image. I stamped Jane, the leafy rose and the bow three times on some DCWV patterned paper. I paper pieced her hat and dress then proceeded to accessorize!
I colored the bow with copics, then layered the roses on top of the bow, then attached it to her hat.
I pulled out my beloved Peel-Off stickers -- these ones are "Geo Shapes" by Stampendous and they have hologram sparkles in the center of each piece.
I added a Geo Shape sticker to the rose on her hat and then several around her wrist to create a glam, bobbled-bracelet.
Next I stamped another rose and toiled it up some and attached it to her hip. Finished accessorizing her with two, gold half-pearls as matching earrings. I layered her onto several CS layers of white, black, and more DCWV paper.
Can't you totally see adding real ribbon, prima flowers, etc., to this image to create a whole 'nother lady!! This was such a blast!! I couldn't decide on a sentiment to add, but I left room for one at the bottom -- so many possibilities for this card!!
Can't wait to try out the other two I bought!!
TFL, I'm so glad you stopped by!
