Using a Vellum Layer

Hello Friends!

My card for this week features vellum as a layer on my card front to soften the colors.  I used Heartfelt Creations Sunrise Lily collection to create a focal point.

I stamped my lily bouquet spray with VersaMark onto my vellum layer and heat embossed it with white EP.  I then stamped and die cut a small dimensional lily from vellum with the same white EP.  Next, I die cut the matching pre-colored image from the paper collection (this is so cool to have these images!). I cut it apart and reassembled it on the front of my card, incorporating the dimensional lily I had created from vellum.

The scalloped border at the bottom of the vellum piece was die cut with the bottom piece of the Regal Borders and Pockets border die.  While the die was still in place on the vellum, I traced the outline to further emphasis it.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Blessings!

Anne

Wonderful dimension with the vellum, Anne. At first I thought it was lace behind the focal blossom. Lovely card.

Anne, I love how the vellum flower piece mimics the look of the lace you've used! Very feminine and pretty!
