Flocked, Layered, and Popped!

Supplies: Stamping Up Autumn Days stamp set, Vanilla CS and ornament punch. DSWV La Creme Mat Stack, Sequins, red bow from HL, Memento Tuxedo Black ink.

This is a card for this week's DDC and Color Challenge! It was stuck in my head when I went to bed last night so I had to get up early to make it!

Francie (aka Francie's Fancy) of DDC fame hosted the DDC Challenge this week and her "Dare" is to make a card with 4 layers and ribbon or cord. The Color Challenge on SCS is to use neutrals in your layers and add color in the image to make them pop!

I used DCWV La Creme mat stack for this. It's been a LONG time since I've had to fight the urge to hoard something and not use it, I just love this mat stack!! The pages have gorgeous flocking on them, and the creme and smoky black color together are so elegant!!

The pop of red comes from the bow around the vase and red cupped sequins from Cartwrights Sequins and Beads. (I love that website, the selection of ribbon and sequins is amazing!!)

The vase is made by punching an ornament from the flocked CS with SU's ornament punch and inverting it, snipping off the pointy tip. Love that it's usable all year long!!

TFL, I'm so glad you stopped by!
