Woodn't You Like to Join In?

Supplies: All Stamps are Stamps by Judith. Fern and Three for You punch. Flower Soft, Forest Branches EF, Copics
Hi all, This week's Belli Challenge is to use wood on your card! I used little faux twigs that I plucked out of a fake Ivy plant I have in my hallway, a wooden barrel stamp, a branch stamp, and made a faux wooden frame with the Forest Branch cuttlebug EF. I'm thinking I met the wood challenge part o.k.!! On this card I also used Flower soft on the stamped branches in the barrel, and punched fern stems with a punch by Punch Bunch. Here's pics of the way the faux frame was made (I got this idea from the Faux Wood Frame technique 0n SCS) : I cut a square out of Kraft paper, then cross cut it into 4 triangles. I ran each triangle through my Big Shot with the "Forest Branches" EF, making sure to position the triangles so the "branches" would run vertically along the widest edge of the triangle. I sponged over the triangles with Ranger Vintage Photo ink, then used SU Basic Brown ink pad and applied ink direct-to-paper so the "branches"were highlighted. This is the faux wood frame reassembled. To finish it off, I drew some black dots and highlighted them with a white gel pen to make faux nails in the frame. And here it is framing the card. Hope you've been inspired to try this week's Belli Challenge!! Make a card using "wood" and upload it on the Creative Belli Blog using Mr. Linky! If you upload a card to Splitcoast or PCP, be sure to add CBC71 in the keywords section. And, be sure to visit these Creative Belli Design Team Member's blogs for more ideas for this fun challenge!!
