Chrissy's Belli Challenge

Supplies used: Stamps: Fifth Avenue Floral, Thoughts and Prayers. Paper: Bazzil Textured Pistachio, SU Certainly Celery, White; Vellum CS in Aqua and Celery. Ink: Certainly Celery, Tempting Turquoise. Accessories: MS Butterflies Punch, SU Sizzlits Simple Flower, SU Pretties Kit half back pearls, Finger Nail art bling, Cuttlebut Textile EF, Doilies, misc. white satin ribbon.
I'm very excited to be invited to join Chrissy's Belli Challenge DT! This is my contribution to the challenge which is posted every week on Chris Dickson's website Creating With Chrissy. This week's assignment: Doilies! Be sure to check out the rest of the team's creations (see links at the end of this post) this week and join in!! Upload your card and link to Chrissy's blog so we can see what you do. SCS Keyword to use is CBC54. I made little butterflies out of the doilies for this card and glued them onto colored vellum CS. Just something I had always wanted to try but hadn't stopped to see if it worked. I punched the doilie and the vellum multiple times with the MS Butterfly punch (the one with 3 little butterflies). Then glued them together in the center. Next I added some teeny tiny fingernail bling I bought at CVS (you can find card making supplies anywhere, right girls??!!) to the centers of the butterflies just because even God's smallest creatures can use a little bling! For the card base, I embossed the Certainly Celery panel with the Cuttlebug Textile EF. I colored one of the doilies with the Certainly celery ink then layered a white one on top, trimming them so they line up but don't over lap. To finish it off, I stamped a white CS circle with the gorgeous big rose from the SU Fifth Avenue Floral set in Certainly Celery then overstamped a sentiment from the Thoughts and Prayers set in Tempting Turquoise. Adhered the stamped circle over the doilies. Decorated the rest of the card with ribbon, an embossed Sizzlit Simple Flower and some half-back pearls. Be sure to check out the other Belli Team members creations:
and of course Chris's Blog Thanks for stopping in!
