Cherish Card - Its All About the Stamping

Hi Friends!

Another Wednesday of Heartfelt Creation cards!  This week I'm focusing on using the stamps and paper collections from HC.  I have to confess, I am truly obsessed with the paper collections, they are my first stop for inspiration when I start creating with the Heartfelt Creations product line!

For this card, I first chose a background panel from the Romantique Garden paper collection. The border you see around the stamped scene is already printed on the paper -- the center area comes blank to be filled in!

I stamped the image onto the background panel and only colored in the parts I knew I would not be covering up. Next I stamped the same image again onto a white cardstock panel and colored in the "other" parts of the scene that I had not colored before.  I cut away the segment that I just colored from the white cardstock panel.  Next, I "selectively" inked up just the little girl from the image, stamped her once onto patterned paper (notice it matches the border!) from the paper collection, and then fussy cut her dress out.  Finally, I inked up just her hat and stamped it onto a white piece of scrap cardstock, colored it in and fussy cut it out.

I layered the cut out pieces onto the image I had stamped on the background panel and used dimensional foam tape to separate the layers.  The result is almost a "paper toile" technique with layers for dimension.

My next card is similar in that I again stamped the image onto a card panel that I chose from the same Romantique Garden paper collection.  I colored in the image parts that I knew would not be covered up by my fussy cut pieces.  Next I stamped the bleeding hearts onto a scrap piece of white cardstock, colored them in and die cut them.  Then I selectively inked up the leaf from the flower image and stamped it onto a scrap piece of cardstock, colored it in, and fussy cut it out.  I used the image I had stamped onto the background panel as a template and layered on the bleeding hearts and the leaf over the image.  I added some gold Stickle glitter lines to add some sparkle.

I finished the arrangement off with a little of bit of ribbon, a button, and a cut-away sentiment from the paper collection.

Please be sure to stop by the Heartfelt Creations blog today and check out the dozens of samples created by the amazing HC Design Team!  The inspiration is breathtaking!  Believe me, I've seen them and I'm completely impressed with the talent and variety on display there!!

Have a blessed week!
Anne
