Altered Peacock and Other Goodies

Hello All,

Here's some photos of some of the projects I've been working on.  The altered items all start out the same - I find something to paint and then embellish beyond recognition!  That's pretty much it!

I use Gesso as a base over the entire item, then paint it in a chalk base paint that I bought at the Vintage Market and Design shop while on a trip home to Albuquerque this summer.  (Most fun store  ever!)  It gives everything a wonderful soft, vintage look and feel. I love love love this stuff!!

The "tail feathers" separate from the body so it was easy to paint and embellish.

Up close:  The sentiment to the right is a rub-on decal from SU!

Next is this butterfly that is made from an old "Home Interiors" brass butterfly that I found at a yard sale for $1 (bought two of them).  Same process, just covered in paint and added bling!

So easy and fun!  Use up all those doo-dads and remnants you have stashed away!!

TFL, I'm so glad you stopped by!
