Watercolored Poppies

Hi Everyone,

Hope this is a very blessed Easter weekend for all of you!

I made this card for the Inspiration Challenge this weekend -- I'm hosting (here) and I hope you'll join me!   I chose the website "Eglantyne Shop" which I don't have a clue what that means, everything is in Chinese Script.  I just know that I love everything on it!!  I could easily make a dozen cards inspired from this webstore!

I chose This ローズモチーフ・シルクボックス Item from the "New" section as my inspiration.  Translated it means "Rose Silk Box."  I think.  Anyhow, I was inspired by the print, the softness and the colors.  And I love all things Victorian.  So it was an easy choice!

I started with a textured panel of Blush Blossom cardstock and very lightly rubbed Groovy Guava ink over the raised texture to bring out the pattern just a bit.  I then heat embossed the "Watercolor Poppies" image from Rubbernecker in white EP.  I colored in the poppies with my "Watercolor Wonder" crayons, referencing my inspiration piece, then used a Sizzix EF to create the textured border.  I added a bracket of bling from "Want to Scrap" across the top of the panel to balance the placement of the image.  I adhered the finished panel to creme colored cardstock base.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!
