Woodware Challenge -- Embossing

Today's Woodware USA Challenge is to emboss on your card -- either method.  I chose heat embossing which will suprise none of my friends that know me well.  Heat embossing is my #1 fav technique!

I used the set called "Tulips" from WWUSA.  Great set, I used it before on this Valentine Card that I made last month.

I embossed the tulips with white Zing EP, then used a dauber and Colorbox Chalk ink to lightly swirl colors over the image.  I wiped it with a tissue after I was done so the white outlined showed up clearly.  Then I added Crystal Effects to the blooms and fine light green glitter to the long leaves.  The grosgrain ribbon and background DP are SU.

Come join us this week over on the Woodware USA Blog!  Create a card using "embossing" (either type) and link it to the Challenge.  You will be eligible to win a free WWUSA stampset.  If your card uses a WWUSA image, your card entry will get counted twice, and you may be chosen for our upcoming Customer Spotlight !

Be sure to stop in and visit the rest of the Design Team's samples!!  They have gorgeous creations to motivate and inspire you!!

TFL, I'm so glad you stopped by!

Gorgeous card!! I love the technique you used with the embossing and chalk. The addition of glitter on the leaves is perfect.

Wow, that's a beauty! I love the idea of using Crystal Effects over the chalk. And why didn't I ever think of that before?! Your colors are so vibrant and yet so soft. Amazing coloring! Love it, GF!

So soft and airy. I didn't realize it was so "slickery" in the original picture. I bet this is just devine IRL...Love the green ribbon too!

this card is amazing, I actually thought this was dry embossed without any stamping!! I love what you did with the chalk ink, it's so soft and pretty! :)
