"Rich and regal in appearance, along with a divine fragrant beauty and ornamental trumpet shaped blossom makes the lily flower a well known garden variety and a sure sign that spring has sprung. Heartfelt Creations invites you to prepare to welcome the season of new beginnings, fresh starts and the bursting forth of nature with the new Sunrise Lily Collection. As the title of this assemblage suggests, it is filled with the romantic hues of a beautiful sunrise or sunset...glorious shades of pinks, oranges, and yellows which also reflect the stunning color palette of the lily blossoms as they appear in the gardens themselves. Ravishing shades of greens, creams and whites bring a crispness and a breath of fresh air just as the spring season itself. Patterned papers reveal regal ornamental iron like scroll work, dainty lace elements and lovely vintage like floral details. Beautiful imagery of lily filled vases, pretty flower adorned garden hats and luscious floral bouquets grace varying sized card panels, scrapbook layouts and embellishment tags, and are replicated in five sets of delicately detailed stamp illustrations. The crowning glory to the collection itself is the dimensional lily flower that will add a touch of reality to each of your springtime creations. So, chase away those winter blues brought on by old man winter, combat spring fever by filling your creative space with a touch of splendor as you begin creating with the Sunrise Lily Collection for the upcoming spring and Easter season."
A new feature to the paper collection with this release is that there are many images on the patterned papers that are sized perfectly to be cut out with the dies that are releasing with it! So now the same dies that cut out your stamped images, will also die cut many of the pre-colored images from the paper collection. I LOVE this concept!! So when you really want quick, easy and still-original hand-made cards, you can opt to die cut the already-colored images instead of stamping and coloring them yourself!
So, as an example... :)
I made my card by simply choosing a card panel that I liked from the paper collection that featured a bouquet of lilies. I then found some beautifully colored, matching bouquet images from the same paper collection and used the coordinating die to die cut them out.
I die cut two of the bouquets, gently shaped the back side of them to add some dimension, then layered them onto the like-image of the panel with foam tape.
On the card panel I chose, I stamped the "Happy Birthday" sentiment available in the collection in Crisp Cantaloupe ink. I cut my rubber stamp between the words "Happy" and "Birthday" so I could stamp the words in a stacked design instead of side by side.
Finally, just to add a little more interest, I die cut and shaped a couple of stamens from brown cardstock and adhered them to the centers of the pre-colored flowers on the bottom of the card panel.
I embellished the lilies with glitter and dotted the white space with rhinestones for balance.
