Light Blue Fuchsias

Hi All!

This project is an example of how the Cascading Fuchsia collection practically makes projects themselves!  This wall hanging started out as a card, but it ended up being a bit more 3-D than even I could justify, so I added a hanger and it became a wall hanging!

I started with a light blue panel from the Everyday Heroes Collection because of the blue tones it contains.  I used the same paper collection and stamped 3 of each size of the fuchsias and assembled them.  Next I stamped and die cut leafy branches onto gold metallic paper and shaped them.  Once I had all the dimensional floral pieces, I die cut two lattice shapes that would become "gates" on my background.

I tucked in a cute Tim Holtz Bird Cage (that I prepared with gold paper and a tiny bird) behind the "gates" and proceeded to add and embellish my scene with the fuchsias and leaves. I used a gold Krylon pen all around the edge of the base panel.  I cut a sentiment strip from the collection and edged it with gold as well.  Finally, I added a maroon ribbon to the top of the display.

Once it was all done, I could tell this was not going to hold up to just a standing card!  So I adhered the whole thing to mat board, punched a couple of holes with my Crop-a-dile, and added eyelets wire.

Fuchsias and Doves Wall Display

Hi Friends!

Here's a new project with the HC Fuchsia collection.  The possibilities with this flower are endless, it's just been a pleasure and so much fun to play with this set of stamps, dies and paper.

For the base of this wall hanging, I covered a square frame with paper from the Collection and made a semi-circle fan to sit on top. This photo is the back of the frame.

Then I created the vines and flowers and just assembled them all inside and out of the plastic dome (Susans Garden Domes).

To finish, I cut a sentiment strip from the paper collection, glued on two small, white feather birds to the top of the frame and added a few white half-back pearls as accents.

New Release Day! Cascading Fuchias!

Hello Friends!

Oh my word!  I've been excited to tell you about this release for months!  It's such a unique and beautiful flower in nature and Heartfelt Creations has made it so easy to recreate them in paper!

"Heartfelt Creations invites you to join us for a stroll through a quaint cottage garden where your cares will melt away and your creative energy will be refreshed and renewed.  The Cascading Fuchsia Collection of stamps, dies and papers is bursting with lush greenery and exquisite beauty.  Here, you'll find pendant shaped clusters of show-stopping pink, purple and magenta blossoms that are also called "Angel's Earrings."  Graceful vines, lacy patterns, flitting butterflies, shady bowers and delicate latticework come together and form this restful haven.  It's a celebration of the simple things that fill this moment in time with wonder and spontaneous joy.  Cascading Fuchsia: It's a flawless garden of peerless delight and a creative sanctuary for the artist in you."

I honestly was a little intimidated about making them at first, but I jumped in and created the first few and really and truly they are a simple flower to make!

In the fuchsia die set, you get three dies, and each die will create one complete fuchsia blossom! Each die makes a different size flower.  Emma Lou has a new video showing exactly how to make these, Click Here to check it out!

The dimension you get and the dramatic blossoms that emerge with just a minimal amount of die cutting and shaping are so much fun!  They will inspire all kinds of ideas!

So here's the very first card that I made with those first few blossoms that I talked about above! With some greenery surrounding them and attached to one of the many card panels that come in the coordinating Paper Collection, this card was very easy to make and the result is amazing to see in real life

Here's the HC products I used on this card:

With God All Things Are Possible

Hi Friends!

Happy Wednesday!  My Heartfelt Creations post this week is just for fun, no particular collection that I'm focusing on, I just wanted to make a bright and Spring inspired card!  I decided that must mean flowers and butterflies!!

I used the butterflies from the Butterfly Medley Collection.  Because they come in a group of 7 all on one stamp, I was able to quickly stamp all the butterflies together at one time.  I then used a quick coloring technique (stipple brush and inks) to "roughly" add color to them and then glammed them all up with Icicle Stickes!  Next I selected a card front from the Butterfly Medley paper pad and die cut out Butterfly "holes" with the coordinating die towards the upper left of the panel.

I turned the die cut panel over and added a square of acetate (AKA discarded packaging material) to the back, over the negative space, to help strengthen the panel so it wouldn't cave in in-between the cut outs.

Afterwards, I turned the panel back over and sponged on some Purple Viva Decor 3-D stamp paint along the edges of the panel and stamped my sentiment.

Next I aligned the stamped and colored butterflies under the corresponding die cut holes and adhered the two panels together with 1/8" foam tape separating the two.  Here is where adding that acetate backing to the back of the panel makes a difference!
To finish the card, I stamped and die cut out the small flower blooms from the Birds and Blooms Collection and sponged on more of the Purple 3-D Stamp Paint.  I stamped and die cut a few leafy branches from the Classic Leaf dies (trimming them as needed) and inserted them under the purple blooms.  I added silver German Glass Glitter to the flower centers for the final touch.

These are the Heartfelt Creations products used on my card.
