More of My Favorite Things!

Hi Friends,

I have a couple more cards to share with you that I submitted to the "My Favorite Things" Guest Designer contest.  The prize is $200 in MFT product and a month as guest designer for the company!  That would be such a blast!  (Do people use that word anymore?)

This card features the "My Favorite Sentiments" set that I used in the post prior to this.  The sentiments are large, bold and worthy of being the focal point, I love that!!  Kills two birds with one stone LOL!!

I stamped the sentiment twice, once with TH Worn Lipstick and once onto black cs with Versafine so that I could emboss it.  I cut away the word "Heart" from the embossed piece and layered it over the sentiment.

To keep true to the required sketch, I made a couple of fans and adhered them behind the main panel to create a horizontal piece.  I added a fun fairy charm and a TH mini pin as embellishments.

This next card uses MFT "Girls Rule" stamp set.  I ordered this set when I was asked to make a collection of cards for my hair stylist.  She wants to be able to send "reminder" cards to her clients and this set includes 8 sentiments that would be perfect for what she wants!  Some examples of the sentiments are "Its a Girl Thing", "Be Good to Yourself" and "I'm here if You Need Me".  I can't wait to finish her card set, I think she'll be happy with them.

For this card, I created a pleated skirt by scoring a 1" piece of coordinating DP and folding it back and forth to create the pleats.

TFL, I'm so glad you stopped by!
